New product coming: Petals Facial Oil

1oz facial oil with essential oils rose, rose geranium, cistus (rockrose), neroli.  With borage, sea buckthorn and rosehip. It will complement the facial polish step by providing everyday balance, soft, supple skin and target specific areas that need additional attention.

Camellia Seed oil  will be the anchor for this serum. Camellia or Tsubaki oil, is rich in oleic acid and vitamins A, B, D and E as well as nourishing Omega 3, 6 and 9. The molecular weight of the oil is an almost identical match for skin, allowing it to absorb quickly and thoroughly. Camellia oil has more naturally-occurring antioxidants than almost any other botanically derived oil. The winter-blooming flower was harvested for centuries by women famed for their glowing skin and long, lustrous hair. The geisha adopted their secret, using the oil to remove their iconic stage makeup and nourish their skin. The two oils below are a little more dense and oiler in texture but, together should blend a nice treatment for dry, sensitive and mature skin.

Borage is a little known secret for keeping your skin healthy. It is a natural oil that not only restores moisture and smoothness to dry and damaged skin, but can also provide relief to people who suffer from chronic skin disorders such as eczema and atopic dermatitis. The essential fatty acid gamma linolenic acid (GLA) from borage has shown to be one of the most effective agents for the treatment of skin disorders and for the maintenance of healthy skin. The fatty acid profile of borage is unique in that it contains 24 percent GLA. Evening primrose oil contains 8 to 10 percent GLA and black currant oil contains 15 to 17 percent.

Rosehip Seed, Rosa rubiginosa, is exceptionally active. Studies have shown it to be one of the most regenerative oils, improving skin texture, and reducing scars and skin discoloration. It's a perfect addition to anti-aging products as it helps to smooth out facial lines, and wrinkles, while moisturizing, and hydrating, the skin at a cellular level.

Sea Buckthorn, this fruit is loaded with antioxidants, including vitamins C and E, and studies show that these two nutrient powerhouses can prevent wrinkles. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, one form of vitamin E, in particular, alpha tocopherol, reduced skin roughness, length of facial lines and the depth of wrinkles when applied topically. Rich in anti-inflammatory omega fatty acids, sea buckthorn can be helpful for inflammatory skin conditions like eczema, rosacea, and even acne. Again, the anti-inflammatory effects of Sea Buckthorn Berry oil may be beneficial for rosacea. Sea Buckthorn contains more than 10 times the amount of vitamin C found in oranges offering maximum amounts of antioxidants.
